Over 80,000 metric tons of imports and exports carried out via railways in one week
The Ministry of Public Works reported, that in the past a week, a total of 80,252 metric tons of goods were imported and exported through the country’s railway routes.
According to the ministry, 45.5 thousand tons were transported via Hairatan, 11.8 thousand tons through Aqina, 9.3 thousand tons via Torghundi, and 13.5 thousand tons through the Khaf–Herat railway.
Out of the total, 129 tons were exports.
The ministry adds that the increase in exports via railway contributes to job opportunities, revenue generation, and economic stability.
