Food aid distributed to 1,000 returning refugee families in Mazar-e-Sharif
In a humanitarian initiative, food supplies were distributed to 1,000 families of returning refugees from Iran and Pakistan in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
It is mentionable, the assistance, provided by the Basheer Naweed Foundation, aimed to support vulnerable families.
Haji Khairuddin Mayel, head of Basheer Naweed Group of Companies, said the aid included flour, rice and cooking oil for families who have recently returned from Iran and Pakistan and settled in Balkh. According to him, the initiative was intended to help families struggling with economic and livelihood challenges after their return.
The distribution took place in the presence of local officials and representatives of partner organisations, and was warmly welcomed by the beneficiary families.
