In coordination with the Nangarhar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, and with the support of the Danish Refugee Council, a total of 1,256,100 Afghanis in cash were distributed to 123 workers as payment for their labor.

Maulavi Mohammad Wali Mohsin, head of the Nangarhar Agriculture Department, said that in the districts of Haska Mina and Spin Ghar, each worker received 9,100 Afghanis for 26 working days, while skilled workers were given 18,200 Afghanis.

He further added, that these workers had been engaged in building dams, headworks, canals, and check dams in the mentioned districts.

The agriculture director further stated that the purpose of this initiative was to improve water management, facilitate irrigation for farmers, and create job opportunities. Additionally, job opportunities were created for 550 local residents in both districts.
