Two clean drinking water networks launched in Nangarhar at a cost of 9.3 million Afghani
Under the framework of the Nangarhar Department of Rural Development and Reconstruction, and with funding from UNICEF amounting to 9.3 million Afghanis, construction work has begun on two clean water supply networks in the Adur and Fath Kharki areas of Khogyani district. The project has also created job opportunities for dozens of people.
The Fath Kharki network will include a 100-meter-deep well and two reservoirs with a capacity of 50 and 6 cubic meters, providing clean water to 300 households.
Similarly, the Adur network will feature a 90-meter-deep well and two reservoirs with a capacity of 20,000 and 6,000 liters, supplying clean water to 300 households and 500 students. Both networks will operate through solar power.
