Export documentation one-stop center inaugurated in Herat
Local officials in Herat reported, a one-stop center for processing export documents at the provincial Chamber of Commerce has been inaugurated in the presence of Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, governor of Herat, and Maulvi Ahmadullah Zahid, deputy minister of industry and commerce.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Governor Islamjar said the Islamic Emirate is working to expand the export of goods and domestic products and expressed hope that the launch of this center will boost Herat’s export volume.
Meanwhile, deputy Minister Zahid welcomed the initiative, stressing that the Islamic Emirate is committed to addressing challenges in the export process and stands ready to remove obstacles as much as possible.
According to officials, Herat exported goods worth a total of $164.82 million in the year 1403 (2024–25) to countries including Iran, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, India and European nations—an increase of 29 percent compared with the previous year.
