Aid Provided to 180 Earthquake-Affected Families in Laghman
Qari Khair Mohammad Ghazi, head of the Laghman Disaster Preparedness Department, said that in cooperation with the National Disaster Management Authority and partner relief organizations, food and non-food assistance worth 1.8 million Afghanis was distributed to 180 families affected by recent earthquakes in the province.
According to Ghazi, the aid was given to families whose homes were destroyed or damaged in the quakes. Each family received assistance equivalent to 10,000 Afghanis, including a winter kit, a complete kitchen set, two sacks of flour, and blankets.
The recipient families expressed their gratitude, saying they had suffered heavy losses from the earthquakes but received timely support from the disaster management department.
