Aid and facilities provided for livestock farmers in Herat by Dutch Committee
Officials from the Dutch Committee in Afghanistan reported, that since 2022, they have provided services and essential equipment for 350,000 people across 16 provinces, particularly in the field of livestock farming.
Representatives of the committee in the western zone stated that new programs in animal husbandry and veterinary health have been launched in Herat province.
Dr. Hamed Shams, the committee’s western zone head, said during the distribution of equipment to farmers and herders in Herat that the new projects include:
Establishing veterinary clinics in remote areas
Setting up milk collection and processing centers
Launching small-scale household poultry farms
Additionally, These projects will be implemented across all 16 provinces where the committee operates.
