Mehtarlam Municipality has collected 55 million Afghanis in revenue over the past six months
Lal Agha Ebrahimi, the municipality’s press officer, told the media that the revenue collected in the first six months of the solar year 1404 shows an increase of 11 million Afghanis compared to the same period last year.
According to him, this revenue was generated from markets, booths, urban services, licensing fees, and various other sources.
Mr. Ebrahimi added that this year the Mehtarlam Municipality is implementing 11 development projects with a total cost of around 103 million Afghanis. These projects include the construction of roads, canals, culverts, walkways, a commercial market in the city, greening of parks, the construction of waste bins for environmental protection, and an oil pump station in the Khad-e area of the Kabul–Jalalabad road.
It is worth noting that last year, the Mehtarlam Municipality implemented 16 reconstruction projects at a cost of 86 million Afghanis.
