The Media Office of the Directorate of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (NRRD) in Nangarhar province has announced that a water supply network has been constructed and put into operation in Hisarak district with the financial support of UNICEF, at a cost of over 3.3 million Afghanis.


According to the statement, the network includes the construction of a 30,000-liter water storage tank, installation of 3.8 meters of pipeline, 14 solar panels, and 402 water taps.


Officials reported, that the project provided employment opportunities for dozens of workers during its implementation, and upon completion, 402 households in Hisarak district now have access to clean drinking water.
