Minister of Water and Energy, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, met with Murad Artikov, Head of the TAPI international project, and Khawaja Ovezov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan, to discuss ways to accelerate the progress of the TAPI project.

According to the ministry’s statement, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor emphasized the vital importance of this project for regional countries and reaffirmed that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to providing all forms of cooperation and necessary conditions to expedite and implement the project.

Meanwhile, the Head of the TAPI project stressed the coordination and readiness of the three countries—Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan—in implementing the project.

The TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) project is considered one of the region’s major strategic initiatives, aimed at transmitting electricity from Turkmenistan to Pakistan through Afghanistan.
