Meeting of the Minister of Mines and Petroleum with the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan on the TAPI Project
Mawlawi Hidayatullah Badri, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan, along with several local officials from Herat and a high-ranking delegation from Turkmenistan led by Mr. Rashid Meredov, the Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan, visited the progress of the TAPI project within Afghan territory.
During this meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the advancement of the TAPI project in Afghanistan, describing it as significant and promising development.
According to Homayoun Afghan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, over 100 kilometers of the project route have been surveyed so far, and 70 kilometers of road have been prepared for pipeline installation.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works stated that 14 kilometers of the pipeline have been installed so far, and an additional 60 kilometers of road have been constructed.
