New Refugee Camp Inaugurated in Nimroz Province
According to a press release from the Nimroz provincial governor’s office, a new refugee camp has been completed and handed over for use in the province at a cost of 20 million Afghanis. The camp is expected to accommodate up to 21,000 refugees.
The statement added, that the camp, located in the Pul-e-Abrisham area of Nimroz, was built to provide services and better facilities for refugees. The camp includes three buildings, three halls, a dining area, separate rooms for men and women, standard toilets, and administrative offices.
Additionally, the Afghan Red Crescent Society has provided 100 tents with living essentials, and the Provincial Directorate for Disaster Management has provided dozens of tents equipped with heating and cooling systems to support temporary accommodation services for the displaced.
