Inauguration of wastewater treatment plant in the 9th district of Kabul city
The construction of the treatment plant, located in the Sarak-e-Naw area of the 9th district, was completed at a cost of 18 million Afghanis and has now been put into operation.
Officials from the Kabul Municipality said that the facility, built on two jeribs of land, has the capacity to treat 2,500 cubic meters of wastewater every 24 hours.
According to them, the treated water and 10% of the chemical fertilizer produced by the plant will be used for irrigating and enriching urban trees and green spaces.
