Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, along with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of Turkmenistan, and delegations from both countries, visited the ongoing practical work of the TAPI project inside Afghanistan, in areas of Herat province.
According to a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the visit of the Afghan and Turkmen delegations took place today (October 20).
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs expressed appreciation for Mr. Berdimuhamedov’s presence inside Afghanistan and emphasized that the Islamic Emirate’s vision regarding Turkmenistan is not limited to the TAPI project.
He added, that the goal is to expand the trade corridor between the two countries through major projects such as power transmission, TAPI-500, railway construction, road building, logistics centers, and other economic initiatives.
