According to a press release from the Nangarhar Directorate of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, a total of 90.3 metric tons of pure pine nuts have been collected from the province’s natural forests this year.


The director of the department, Mawlawi Mohammad Wali Mohsen, stated that these harvests were obtained from 11,910 hectares of natural pine forests across six districts of Nangarhar: Hisarak, Sherzad, Khogyani, Pachiragam, Haska Mina, and Spin Ghar.


The press release noted that last year, 89 metric tons were harvested from these forest areas, indicating an increase in production this year.
