The Iranian Ambassador and Special Envoy to Kabul Mohammad Hassan Ka zemi Qomi, in a meeting, with the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, said that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in mines extraction, the ministry said in a statement the other day. Shaikh Delawar talked about the significant achievements of the Islamic Emirate in the past 2.5 years, as well as about the four blocks of the Ghorian iron mine in Herat, the gold mines in the Raghistan district of Badakhshan and Kunduz, and the oil and gas blocks in Herat, according to the statement. Ambassador Qomi, provided information regarding Afghan students studying in Iran and assured his country’s cooperation in Afghanistan mines extractions. The neighboring country of Iran, in the past two and a half years of the Islamic Emirate rule, had extensive political, economic, commercial, and transit relations with Afghanistan, and it will provide 70 percent of the country’s liquid gas in the coming year.
