Establishment of a special air bridge by the United Arab Emirates to assist Afghanistan’s earthquake victims
The United Arab Emirates has established a special air bridge to deliver humanitarian aid to victims of the recent powerful earthquake that struck northern Afghanistan.
According to Emirati media, the third aircraft carrying the country’s aid arrived in Afghanistan yesterday (Thursday, November 6).
The report states that the UAE has so far sent about 90 tons of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, and additional aid will be procured from local markets in the north of the country for the earthquake victims.
The assistance includes food supplies, shelter, and medical equipment, which will benefit more than 200 thousand people.
