Construction Work Begins on a 22-Million-Afghani Project in Laghman
The Laghman provincial media office reports that work on a new project near the Kabul and Jalalabad new base area in the fifth district of Mehtarlam city has officially begun with a foundation stone ceremony attended by the Laghman governor, the Mehtarlam mayor, the head of the Ulema Council, the director of Information and Culture, and several other officials.
Mehtarlam Mayor Mawlawi Rahmatullah Shahamat said the project is being funded through the municipality’s internal budget. It includes a fuel station, a car wash facility, and two wells. He added that the project is valued at 22 million Afghanis and will be completed within seven months.
It is worth noting that just last week, another project worth 1.5 million Afghanis was launched by the Mehtarlam municipality in the same province.
