Emphasis Placed on the Continuation of Japan’s Cooperation and Aid to Afghanistan

Sheikh Neda Muhammad Nadim, Minister of Higher Education, held an introductory meeting with Masamuto Kenichi, the new Ambassador of Japan to Kabul.


During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education expressed satisfaction with Japan’s positive policies toward Afghanistan, thanked the country for its cooperation and assistance, and emphasized the continuation of such support.


In turn, the Japanese Ambassador expressed his pleasure with the progress and activities in Afghanistan over the past several years and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to continue cooperation and aid to Afghanistan.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs met with Iran’s Ambassador to Afghanistan

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, met with Iran’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Alireza Bekdeli. During the meeting, discussions focused on bilateral labor relations, the legal transfer of workers to Iran, better organization of the workforce, expansion of joint cooperation, and particularly the assessment of the situation of Afghan refugees. It is noted, the Iranian ambassador also invited the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs to visit Tehran, adding that his country is eager to engage in labor force exchanges with Afghanistan.

Afghanistan and Iran Emphasize the Advancement of Economic Relations

In Tehran, Afghanistan’s Acting Ambassador, Mawlawi Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Iran’s Chabahar Free Zone. The Afghan Embassy in Tehran stated that during the meeting, discussions were held on expanding bilateral economic and trade relations, making better use of the Chabahar Free Zone to facilitate exports, increasing transit, and resolving existing challenges.

Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Discuss Cooperation in the Electricity Sector

The Ministry of Water and Energy has said in a statement that a delegation led by the ministry’s deputy minister for energy has met and held talks with the Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan. During the meeting, Afghanistan was described as a key connector for regional energy projects. Investment opportunities in the electricity sector were outlined, and information was shared on progress made on the CASA-1000 project. Both sides agreed to cooperate on modernising power grids, increasing electricity generation, reducing losses, and strengthening technical cooperation.
