Mawlawi Sadr Azam Usmani, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, met with Jamshid Abdudzokirov, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of Uzbekistan, in Kabul.


During the meeting, discussions were held on exporting meat to Uzbekistan, establishing orchards in Andkhoy district of Faryab province, and cooperation in the field of improved seed varieties. Mawlawi Sadr Azam Usmani stated that Afghanistan’s private sector is ready to cooperate in the production and export of meat and proposed the establishment of large, standard farms in Afghanistan.


On other side, Jamshid Abdudzokirov, noting that trade volume between the two countries has increased from 410 million to 610 million dollars in recent years, said that the purpose of their visit to Afghanistan is to purchase meat, establish orchards in Faryab province, and enhance cooperation in the area of seed varieties.
