The Traffic Department of the Herat Provincial Police Command, in cooperation with other relevant agencies, has removed street vendors and carts that were disrupting traffic order and blocking the movement of vehicles in the city's high-traffic areas.

Mawlawi Shir Ahmad Burhani, spokesperson for the Baghlan provincial police headquarters, says that Mawlawi Jamaluddin “Wahaj” has officially been introduced as the new security chief of Baghlan province by Major General Mawlawi Abdul Haq “Haqqani” and has formally started his duties. According to Mr. Burhani during the ceremony, the Baghlan police chief described change as a principle of the Islamic Emirate and expressed appreciation for the efforts of the former security chief.

Officials in Herat province reported, that 400 drug addicts, who had previously been collected from various areas of the province by the Counter-Narcotics Directorate, have been discharged and handed over to their families in good health after completing a three-month treatment program. However, the process was carried out by a designated committee.

The Ministry of Finance announced that the General Directorate of Customs has constructed and commissioned a high-tonnage weighbridge at Torkham Customs at a cost of 3.5 million Afghanis, aimed at determining the weight of imported goods. According to the ministry of finance the weighbridge measures 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width, with the capacity to measure up to 120 tons of weight. Additionally, with the installation of this weighbridge, it is expected to prevent revenue loss and overloading, while also significantly accelerating the customs clearance process for commercial goods. It is worth noting that the project was funded by the Ministry of Finance’s development budget and implemented by an Afghan company.

In this meeting, the Turkish Consul General, the Afghan-Turk Maarif delegation, and graduates and students of higher education in Turkey met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the honorable governor of Herat. Along side, they discussed the educational programs of the Afghan-Turk schools and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Al-Haj Mawlawi Mohammad Ebrahim "Sadr Sahib," the Senior Deputy Minister of Interior, arrived in Herat at the head of a high-level delegation with the purpose of inspecting and overseeing the units and formations of the Herat Police Command. According to reports, Mr. Sadr met with Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the Governor of Herat, the Chief of Police, the Head of the Ulema Council, and other government officials.

Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar, met with Ahmad Al-Yafi’i, head of the Arabic section of Al Jazeera Network. During the meeting, the two sides discussed cultural cooperation, journalist training, and the expansion of media relations. On other side, Mr. Shaheen emphasized the importance of Al Jazeera’s cooperation in reflecting Afghanistan’s positive changes, developments, and achievements to the international audience. Mr. Al-Yafi’i viewed the current situation in Afghanistan positively and expressed readiness for media collaboration.

Saleh Mohammad Khaliq, the former Director of Information and Culture for Balkh province and a well-known poet and writer, has died in a traffic accident in Balkh. His passing is considered a great loss for the country’s literary and cultural community.

The Islamic Emirate’s Special Representative, Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan, participated in the 7th Eurasian Space Congress. The congress addressed strategic changes in space affairs, new policies, and challenges related to space governance. It is worth noting that scientific and political representatives from Russia, Belarus, Arab countries, and several other nations also took part in the event.

A meeting was held between the UK humanitarian aid delegation and Afghan officials to discuss the situation of forcibly returned migrants from Iran and Pakistan. That is while, the meeting was attended by several directors and officials from the Ministry of Refugees, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussions focused on the reintegration of forcibly returned migrants and addressing the challenges they face.
