Afterward, a short documentary prepared about the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, the beginning of the American occupation, and the period of liberation from it was presented to the participants. Then, the Ambassador and Extraordinary Representative of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Bilal Karimi, delivered a speech on the importance of this day, the Emirate’s positive policies toward the world, particularly regarding diplomatic and other relations with China. In another part of the ceremony, Mr. Liu Jinsong, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, gave a speech, congratulating Afghans on the occasion. He described Afghanistan as a good neighbor of China and assured of stronger relations and broader cooperation with Afghanistan in various fields. Finally, he event concluded with a traditional Afghan meal served by the Afghan Embassy.

A 15-day training seminar for security, administrative, and support staff of Khost Police Headquarters, districts, and security zones has concluded under the framework of the Education and Training Department of the provincial police command. The programme aimed at capacity building provided training in various military, technical, and administrative fields. However, speaking at the closing ceremony, Khost Police Commander Mullah Abdullah Hamad highlighted the importance of the seminar’s topics and thanked the Paktia Police Academy officials for their dedicated instruction. He urged participants to apply the knowledge gained in serving the public. Commander Samiullah Khalid of the Paktia Police Training Centre congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to use the acquired skills within their professional responsibilities. He also pledged to continue holding similar training programmes to strengthen police professionalism. Participants expressed satisfaction with the training and committed to applying the techniques and skills learned in their daily duties in service of the people and the Islamic system. Additionally, the seminar, jointly conducted by Khost Police Headquarters and the Paktia Police Training Centre, covered police tactics, accounting, logistics, procurement, and administrative practices, with instruction provided by professional trainers. Officials noted, that the training also emphasized professional conduct, public interaction, and administrative responsibilities, with further capacity-building programmes planned for the future.

According to Mr. Haris, local officials, religious scholars, tribal elders, and hundreds of residents attended the gathering, where speakers emphasized unity, the preservation of achievements, and the role of young people in shaping the country’s future. However, August 15, is observed as a day of faith, perseverance, and the victory of the Afghan nation.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, said in a press release that tonight, special police forces under the Deputy Ministry for Security Affairs carried out a successful operation against an ISIS group in the Barik Ab area of Bagram district, Parwan province. The group had planned to attack the Independence Day celebration ceremony. According to reports, during the operation, one enemy member was captured alive, and a Corolla vehicle carrying three rockets was seized.
